Metro Vancouver Lawn Watering Restrictions

Automatic lawn sprinkler watering restrictions are in effect from May 1 to October 15.

Metro-Vancouver / Abbotsford / Mission

Note: White Rock does not receive Metro-Vancouver water.

Residential

• Even-numbered addresses on Saturdays.
• Odd-numbered addresses on Sundays.
• Manual watering: 6:00 am – 9:00 am.
• Automatic watering: 5:00 am – 7:00 am.

Non-Residential

• Even-numbered addresses on Mondays.
• Odd-numbered addresses on Tuesdays.
• Automatic watering: 4:00 am – 6:00 am.
• Manual watering: 6:00 am – 9:00 am.

Note: Watering trees, shrubs and flowers is permitted any day from 5:00 am to 9:00 am for residential properties and from 4:00 am to 9:00 am for non-residential properties if using a sprinkler, or any time if hand watering or using drip irrigation. All hoses must have an automatic shut-off device.

White Rock

Residential

• Even-numbered addresses on Saturdays.
• Odd-numbered addresses on Sundays.
• Automatic watering: 5:00 am – 7:00 am.
• Manual watering: 6:00 am – 9:00 am.

Non-Residential

• Even-numbered addresses on Mondays.
• Odd-numbered addresses on Tuesdays.
• Automatic watering: 4:00 am – 6:00 am.
• Manual watering: 6:00 am – 9:00 am.

Note: These water restrictions only apply to lawns; watering of gardens, shrubs, trees and flower beds is permitted any day from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for residential properties and from 4:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. for non-residential properties if using a sprinkler, or anytime if hand watering or using drip irrigation.

Chilliwack

Residential

• Even-numbered addresses on Wednesday and Saturday.
• Odd-numbered addresses on Thursday and Sunday.
• Watering can occur between: 5:00 am – 8:00 am and 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm.
• Automatic watering: 5:00 am – 7:00 am.
